TOWN OF BABYLON CONTRACT
NOTICE TO BIDDERS
Pursuant to resolution adopted by the Town Board, The Town of Babylon, Commissioner of General Services, Division of Purchasing will receive sealed proposals for:
BID NO. 18G32
CONTROLLED DEMOLITION WITH ASBESTOS IN PLACE AT;
298 28th STREET, COPIAGUE-SCTM-0100-199-04-049
67 NEW AVENUE, WYANDANCH-0100-80-01-113
Until 10:00 AM on THURSDAY, MARCH 15, 2018 at Babylon Town Hall, 200 E. Sunrise Highway, Lindenhurst, New York, 11757, at which time they will be publicly opened and read in the Division of Purchasing office. Bids may be hand delivered or mailed to the above address. Bids will not be accepted after 10:00 A.M. on the date of bid opening. NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE GRANTED. Do not remove any pages, all bids are to be submitted intact. For information call (631) 957-3025. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
Bidding and contract documents may be examined and obtained at the Town Hall Purchasing Dept. between the hours of 9:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M. daily except Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays on and after 10:00 AM on THURSDAY MARCH 1, 2018 for a non-refundable fee of FIFTY DOLLARS ($50.00).
Each Proposal must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bid Bond made payable to the Town of Babylon, in the amount of, five percent (5%) of the total amount of the bid.
A walk through has been scheduled for Wednesday March 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. beginning at 298 28th Street, Copiague. Please note: This walk through is mandatory. Any bidder who does not attend the walk-through will not be permitted to submit a bid.
NOTE: AN APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM APPROVED BY THE NEW YORK STATE DEPARTMENT OF LABOR IS REQUIRED FOR THIS PROJECT. THIS REQUIREMENT APPLIES TO BOTH THE CONTRACTOR AND ALL SUBCONTRACTORS. FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THIS REQUIREMENT, MAY RESULT IN DISQUALIFICTION.
