Carol A. Quirk, Babylon Town Clerk
 Carol has been a resident and active community member of Deer Park for over 40 years. Her 3 sons are all graduates of Deer Park High School. As one of the most respected women in Suffolk County, she has given unselfishly of her time and talents to improve the quality of life in her community.
Through her involvement in many local, state-wide, civic, and charitable organizations, her contributions, personal and professional, have been recognized and honored with a variety of awards presented to her by these organizations.
In May 2008, she ended her 24 year career with Western Suffolk BOCES.
She began her career in public service when elected to the Town Council in November 2001. While there, she served as Chairperson of Parks and Recreation, Chair of the Technology Committee, as well as, liaison for Veterans Affairs.
As Chairperson of Parks, she initiated an Adaptive Swim Program for children, in addition the new Phelps Lane Park Complex was opened, two spray parks were opened and a new Band Shell was constructed offering many free summer concerts. As Chairperson of Veterans Affairs, she co-hosted Veterans Awareness Week with Assemblyman Robert Sweeney, as well as, conducting annual Veterans Affairs workshops with the County. She also helped to move the Town Technology into the 21st century.
In May 2008, she was unanimously appointed as Babylon Town Clerk. As the Town Clerk she is responsible for maintaining and archiving all town records. In addition, her office issues state and town permits and maintains Town Board minutes. Mrs. Quirk serves as the marriage officer for the Town of Babylon. She continues to move the department in the right direction to serve the residents of the Town of Babylon more efficiently.
