The Long Island Housing Partnership (LIHP) administers the following programs on behalf of Babylon Town:
Babylon Town Down Payment Assistance Program
This program offers up to $14,000 for down payment and closing costs assistance towards the purchase of a single family home in the Town. Purchasers must be income eligible and be a first time homebuyer. The program is scheduled to re-open for applications in January 2013.
Wyandanch Rising Down Payment Assistance Program
This program provides up to $10,000 for down payment and closing costs assistance towards the purchase of a single family home within the boundaries of the Wyandanch School district. Purchasers must be first time home buyers and income eligible.
Town of Babylon Veterans Down Payment Assistance Program
This program provides down payment and closing cost assistance towards the purchase of a single family home in Babylon Town. The purchase must be a veteran who served honorably and on active duty since October 7th, 2011. The amount of assistance provided is up to $10,000.

Town of Babylon Home Improvement Program
This program provides a deferred payment loan to income eligible homeowners to make repairs and improvements to their homes. Homes must be single family owner occupied and the principal residence of the household.

Neighborhood Stabilization Program
This program acquires foreclosed properties, rehabilitates the homes and then sells the property to an income eligible homebuyer. All homes are brought up to code prior to sale. The homes are sold at an affordable price to first time homebuyers. All homebuyers must attend 8 hours of counseling prior to purchasing a home. Homes are available in the communities of Wyandanch and Amityville.
