Town of Babylon Supervisor Steve Bellone and the entire Town Board recognized 13 year old Copiague Harbor resident Ryan Lindner for his hard work in Diabetes Awareness efforts. Ryan had written to Supervisor Bellone asking him to proclaim a day for the cause, in order to make as many people as possible aware that there is still no cure. Because of Ryan’s efforts, the Town recognized November 15th, 2005 as Diabetes Awareness Day in the Town of Babylon. He is pictured with the Town Board at a recent board meeting.
