About the Garden:
If you need a respite from the hectic day or looking for a change of scenery you don’t have to go far. The Carlls River Botanical Garden at Geiger Park offers a wonderful and serene experience as you follow the paths taking you over small bridges past luscious vibrant flower beds and trees that provide shade. Town of Babylon’s Horticulturist Jen Ulsheimer and Groundskeeper Supervisor Dan Raccomandato worked hard with their crews to make it an environment everyone can appreciate.
If you’re lucky, you might see the turtles coming out of the waters of Turtle Cove to rest on the rocks and dry their shells. The botanical garden also includes planters that grow fresh produce for local Town of Babylon soup kitchens. There are plenty of features with more to come in the near future. See below for various slideshows of the garden in its full glory throughout the growing season!
