Human Services Committee

About the Committee:

The Human Services Committee is a partnership between a councilmember who serves as chairman and the commissioners of the Department of Human Services. Together, these officials work to ensure that the Town of Babylon offers quality human service amenities to our senior citizens and all members of the community.

Message from the Chairman:

Friends,

Thank you for taking the time to read about our committee on human services. As chairman, it is my privilege to work together with our leadership in the Department of Human Services to come up with community programs and monthly activities for our senior citizen population.

As you may know, human services offers annual programs throughout the year in celebration of Black History, Women’s History and Hispanic Heritage. I invite you to join us in these community-oriented celebrations as they are a wonderful way to learn about those making a difference right here at home.

One of the most important amenities offered by human services is our Town of Babylon Food Pantry. Located at 1 Commerce Boulevard in Amityville, the food pantry is a community resource to any who may need it. We work year-round to ensure that the pantry is stocked, and I want to thank the very generous members of our community who always do their part to give back through donations. If you need assistance from the food pantry, please contact Human Services directly at 631-464-4340.

If you are a senior citizen or a member of the community with questions about Town of Babylon Human Services, please contact my office. We will be happy to help.

Be well,

DuWayne Gregory
