Colonel Gilbert Potter Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution, organized 1957

  • Gilbert Potter (1725-1786) was a doctor who served in the American Revolution and the French and Indian War. During the occupation of Long Island, during the American Revolution, he was among those who worked to keep Gen. George Washington informed about the activities of the British troops.
