Parking Violations Bureau
Responsibilities of Parking Violations Bureau
The Parking Violations Bureau is responsible for processing of violations of parking laws, ordinances, rules and regulations. Parking tickets can be issued for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to, unauthorized parking in handicapped parking spots or parking illegally in fire zones.
Payments:
Please be advised that beginning July 1, 2023, the Parking Violations Bureau will be using a new company for ticketing and payments. Starting July 1st, you can pay online by clicking here or you can pay by phone at (631) 869-7675.
Fines can be paid in person, online at Parking Ticket Payments, (this link will not be active after July 1, 2023, please use the link above.) or by mail. If paying by mail, make check or money order payable to the Town of Babylon and write your license number and the ticket number on the front of the payment to ensure proper credit. Mail the ticket and payment to the Town of Babylon, Parking Violations Bureau, 456 Albany Avenue, Amityville, NY 11701.
Failure to pay a parking violation will result in credit collections.
Appeals:
Anyone who receives a parking violation has the option to plead not guilty on the back of the summons and then mail it back to the Parking Violations Bureau. Those who plead not guilty will receive a letter setting you up for a conference with our parking violations attorney.

Summonses are written by either Suffolk County Police, Town of Babylon Public Safety Officials, or Park Rangers for all New York State and Town violations that exist while a vehicle is parked on a public street. Violations include, but are not limited to:
- Handicapped Parking Zone
- Fire Zone
- No Parking
- Expired Registration
- Expired Inspection
Fines must be paid and received by the Town within 30 days of the ticket in order to avoid penalties. Fines can be paid in person, online at Parking Ticket Payments, or by mail.
