Parade kicks-off at 2:00 PM near the LIRR Copiague Station
Spectators can gather along Great Neck Road between Montauk Highway and the Copiague LIRR station.
150th Anniversary Parade
Sunday, April 30, 2023
The Town of Babylon 150th Anniversary Parade will take place on Sunday, April 30th starting at 2:00 p.m. until approximately 5:00 p.m. in the hamlet of Copiague.
PARADE ROUTE: Leaving the intersection of Dixon Ave. & Great Neck Road and proceeding south on Great Neck Road to Montauk Highway. Continue west on Montauk Highway and make a left onto Baylawn Avenue. Travel south on Baylawn Avenue and proceed to Tanner Park.
PLEASE NOTE: roving street closures will be in effect starting at 12:00 p.m. between Dixon Avenue and the Long Island Rail Road Copiague Station and at 2:00 p.m. along the parade route south of the rail road. Montauk Highway will be closed for a brief period of time and motorists are advised to plan ahead and take alternate routes.
TANNER PARK: Tanner Park and Tanner Park Marina will be CLOSED starting at 2:00 p.m. as the entire park is being utilized as a staging area for the parade breakdown and pickup of marchers. Boat launching ramps at Tanner will also be closed during this time. if you are looking to launch a boat on Sunday, April 30th, you are advised to go to Venetian Shores in Lindenhurst.
SPECTATORS: Members of the community are invited and encouraged to gather along Great Neck Road to view the parade. Spectators are asked NOT to park or gather along Baylawn Avenue or any of the residential streets north of Tanner Park to avoid overcrowding on these smaller residential streets. Please be mindful of the residents who live in this area. The best viewing areas will be along Great Neck Road between Montauk Highway and the LIRR Copiague Station.
