Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez, Councilman DuWayne Gregory and Legislator Tom Donnelly recently welcomed the winners of the 2023 Parks Art Contest to Babylon Town Hall.
The six winners were among hundreds of Babylon residents who entered their artwork into the first ever parks contest, which was created by staff members Alexa Liles and Charley Johnson. Submissions were judged based on two different categories of artwork, photography and drawing /painting. The winners of each category are:
Photography:
- 1st place: Caleb Seitz of West Babylon
- 2nd place: Matthew Pecorella of Lindenhurst
- 3rd place: Haydee Trager of Babylon
Drawing / Painting:
- 1st place: Marge Pasqualone of Deer Park
- 2nd place: Dorian J. Collymore of Copiague
- 3rd place: Jacob M. Garcia of Deer Park
Congratulations to all of the winners as well as all of the talented artists who participated in this year’s contest! Thank you for using your talent to show off some of our beautiful local scenery. In addition to the artwork being featured throughout this year's digital recreation guide, the winners work will also be displayed in Town Hall throughout the summer.
