The Town recently renamed the Wyandanch Youth Center, the “Rev. Constance Carter Davis England Wyandanch Youth Center.” The designation honors former Town of Babylon Human Services Commissioner Rev. Constance Carter Davis-England (1946-2023), a long-time resident of Wyandanch, who had a distinguished record of public service throughout Suffolk County.
Rev. England was one of the founders and former director of the Family Life Center of Wyandanch, a program designed to offer counseling, homework help, parenting skills, referrals, and other services to the residents of Wyandanch.
Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Councilman DuWayne Gregory were joined by Suffolk County Legislator Jason Richberg, Assemblywoman Kimberly Jean-Pierre, staff from the Department of Human Services and members of the family as we proudly unveiled the sign renaming the youth center in memory of Rev. England, honoring and paying tribute to her many years of dedicated service to the community.
