Babylon Town Deputy Supervisor Tony Martinez recently congratulated four Cub Scouts from Pack 1634 for earning their Arrow of Light awards. A ceremony was held at American Legion Post 1634, where Deputy Supervisor Martinez awarded the scouts with official Town certificates and offered words of encouragement.
The Arrow of Light award is the highest honor available to Cub Scouts and represents the first step in the transition to becoming a Boy Scout. In order to obtain an Arrow of Light award, a Cub Scout must earn a variety of activity badges, meet several skill requirements, observe a Boy Scout meeting and activity, and learn the Scout Promise and Scout Law.
