Supervisor Schaffer has announced that the Town is continuing to work to fully clear all Town roads of snow and ice. Town plows are addressing trouble areas, such as dead ends, and working to widen streets and apply salt and sand. Six oversized payloaders are working to clear roads that have become compacted with ice. Over 900 tons of salt and sand have been applied to Town roadways thus far.
“While thankfully the temperature has warmed up today, we are still out in force working to clear the remaining snow and ice, as well address the still dangerous road conditions,” said Supervisor Schaffer. “I urge residents to continue to drive carefully, as in addition to layers of ice, the rain has caused additional flooding in spots.”
