To serve the senior citizens in our community, the managers and staff at LOWES in Farmingdale volunteered their time, talent and efforts to the beautification and enhancement of the grounds surrounding the North Amityville Senior Center. The North Amityville Senior Center is a congregate center located on Cedar Street in North Amityville and provides myriad activities and services for local senior citizens. The seniors wanted to spend more time outdoors for recreation and socialization on the center property; however, the site offered limited shade and seating. The employees at LOWES in Farmingdale donated and erected a beautiful gazebo shade arbor, comfortable patio furniture and landscaping for the seniors to enjoy. The donation of plant and landscape materials, the shade arbor and furniture is greatly appreciated by the Town of Babylon. The North Amityville Senior Center, a wonderful asset for serving the recreational needs of the senior community, has greatly been enhanced by the community service efforts and donations provided by LOWES of Farmingdale.
