CCC Photo2-newsflash.jpg
Babylon Town Supervisor Rich Schaffer recently attended a Copiague Chamber of Commerce meeting, where Madison Aquafredda, 9, was honored for her local civic engagement. Madison recently wrote a letter to Copiague Chamber of Commerce president Sharon Fattoruso regarding the litter she had been seeing on the roadways and voiced her desire to get involved with her community. Sharon invited Madison to speak at the meeting about her civic concerns and stewardship.

Supervisor Schaffer thanked Madison and her family for attending the meeting and sharing their concerns about the Copiague community and appointed her as a Junior Beautification Ambassador for the Town of Babylon.

Supervisor Schaffer and Copiague Chamber of Commerce president Sharon Fattoruso are seen pictured with Madison Aquafredda and her parents.
