Town of Babylon Supervisor Rich Schaffer, Councilwoman Jackie Gordon and Special Assistant Terence McSweeney recently thanked the dedicated Lowe’s Hero’s Project participants for their donation of materials and labor which transformed North Babylon’s Spangle Drive Senior Center’s grounds. Human Services Commissioner Madeline Quintyne, Deputy Chief of Staff Gerry Compitello and Beautification Program Director Florence Findley were also in attendance.

The Town of Babylon and it’s senior community were thrilled to be the recipient of the Lowe’s Hero’s Project once again. The three-day project resulted in restored bocce and horseshoe courts, benches and picnic tables. Two brick patios were installed, and the perimeter of the facility was outfitted with pristine landscaping. Employees from Lowe’s locations in Famingdale, Commack and Bayshore assisted with the project.

The Town of Babylon enjoys the wonderful partnership and is most appreciative of all the enhancements the committed Lowe’s employees have made at our facility. Supervisor Rich Schaffer thanked store managers Rick Addamo, Michael Karlak and Doug Breindl along with their employees for their continuous efforts.
