From the Town of Babylon Beautification Program: The International WeLoveU Foundation participated in its “Clean WORLD Movement” by participating in the Town of Babylon Beautification Program’s “Adopt-A-Highway” initiative. On Sunday, October 28, 2018, scores of volunteers from the Suffolk County chapter of the International WeLoveU Foundation gathered at the Fabio Buttitta Pool and Park facility and “adopted” Acorn Street in the Town of Babylon. The participants cleaned-up, raked leaves and removed trash and litter along the 1.5 mile stretch of roadway along Acorn Street, from Rt.231 in Deer Park to Straight Path in Wyandanch. Councilwoman and Beautification Chair Jackie Gordon presented the foundation with a proclamation for its dedication and commitment to helping those in need and for being environmental stewards in our community.
